The grant is part of a created by AccessLex Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping aspiring lawyers find their path to professional success. With $25,000 grants to ABA approved law schools, the funding will provide direct resources to law students during this unique time.

The SLU LAW funds are immediately available and are being administered by Jessica Seavers in the office of student financial services.

鈥淲e pursued this grant because many of our students are facing economic hardships during this health crisis, such as loss of employment or unexpected expenses,鈥 said Seavers. 鈥淎s part of our mission, we feel it is so important that we support our students by reducing financial stress in any way that we can. We hope these grants will help ensure their continued access to legal education.鈥
